Center for Southeast Asian Studies
The Center for Southeast Asian Studies was established in 1963 at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. Located 65 miles west of Chicago, Northern Illinois University is a comprehensive undergraduate and graduate university with approximately 23,000 students. A federally funded National Resource Center since 1997, the Center for Southeast Asian Studies provides leadership, focus, and coordination for Southeast Asian studies at the university.
